Summer is Arriving!

Summer unofficially arrives over the Memorial Day Weekend. Are you ready?

If not, here a few quick tips to look and feel your best by the Memorial Day Weekend:

  • Eat smaller portions – Always remember to eat sensibly and supplement with vitamins if necessary. “Portion control” is one of the quickest and easiest ways to not only feel great but look great doing. Instead of eating a complete dessert, share one with a friend. Or eat that turkey burger without cheese….what about using light salad dressing…and a crowd favorite is to eat more veggies during dinner than the main course. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water.
  • Go that extra mile – if you like to jog or walk, try incorporating an extra mile or two per week. It doesn’t take that much more time or effort while the payoff is very rewarding.
  • Take a bike ride – not only will you enjoy the great outdoors and all that nature has to offer, you’ll also be burning those unwanted calories. Riding a bike is fun, relaxing, a great way to quickly get back in shape. As always, be safe and wear a helmet.
  • Find a partner – exercising with someone can be highly motivating – go out and find someone. Don’t be afraid to ask….the person next to you at work may be thinking the same thing. Or better yet, your brother, sister, mom, or dad may even want to exercise as well.
  • Write it down – have a plan and stick to it. Make weekly goals for yourself and review them daily. Don’t be afraid to stretch yourself…you have more will power than you know.

Enjoy the start of the Summer - be yourself and live healthy!
